One Way Or Another crochet pattern - digital or hard copy

£3.00

One Way or Another is a multi-option pattern. Choose from a cowl, necktie or scarf. Choose a luxurious floofy lace weight yarn or a special skein of 4ply. Choose to make the size you want. It’s all covered within the pattern.

With a simple two-row repeat, you will be able to mindfully crochet any number of neckwear projects.

A simple border is added, to bring a little finesse to the row ends. Using a simple weight percentage calculation, you can work out how much yarn is needed. The border requires up to 10% of the weight of the main body of the neckwear patterns.

Yarns

Each neckwear item has its own pattern page where you will find guidance on how much yarn is required for lace weight and 4ply, depending on the finished measurements you would prefer.

The necktie and cowl can be made with as little as 25g of lace weight floof, or 50g of 4ply. The scarf can be made with as little as 50g of lace weight floof, or 100g of 4ply.

All of the patterns can be made larger to use more yarn, making this a real stash buster. They do not depend on having exact quantities of yarn, you just need at least 25g of floof or 50g of 4ply to make something wearable.

Samples used the following yarns and amounts:

Tension/Gauge: Gauge isn’t really important for this pattern because you keep on going until you have used up a percentage of your yarn. Blocked gauge for both yarn weights is given below in case you want something to aim for, but fibre blend plays a huge role in the final gauge.

Lace weight floof and 4ply: 27-30 sts and 17-18 rows over 10cm/ 4” of main pattern.

Stitches used: chains, extended double crochet (US extended single), double slip stitch, extended double 2 together, starting extended double crochet.

Tutorials: The pattern contains row by row instructions, charts, supporting images and links to helpful video and photo stitch tutorials.

Blocking: This is a project that definitely benefits from blocking to open up the stitches and create a lacey fabric.

Product materials, sourcing and PoM Rating

Postage and Packaging

You can read all about P&P here.

The P&P costs applied are very transparent.  No additional costs are added on, you simply pay for the cost of packaging and the cost of postage.  I don't offer free P&P because what that usually means is that the cost of P&P has been added to the cost of goods.  I think it is better to assume that my customers aren't daft and would rather have transparent P&P costs than the pretence of 'Free P&P' with inflated prices on the items that they are buying.
